Barack Obama to debate tonight the angry old man who screams at trees in the park while banging rocks together

Posted by kayinmaine on October 7, 2008

Yep. Barack Obama will be debating the Deranged Right Wing Angry Old Man Lunatic tonight. Scary. Just in case you missed it, here’s the Sarah Palin Debate Flow Chart she used (and still uses!) before ‘debating’ Joe Biden:

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As usual, we will be rooting for the next president of the United States…Barack Obama! 😉

Before the debate starts tonight, I think everyone should read the following diary over at Dkos:

It appears prominent republicans in Illinois worked with Bill Ayers & Barack Obama on issues near and dear to all of them.

Well, there ya go. Case closed. Now it’s time for Sarah to explain her connection to the AIP and the evangelical militia in Alaska. Johnny also needs to explain his support of right wing death squads. 🙂 Oooooooo, it’s a fun election so far. 😆

And Johnny refused at first to NOT take down the Confederate flag from the South Carolina Statehouse. He was FORCED to change his mind. Normally we’d call this a flip flop, but when you put a microscope on it, you realize….JOHN MCCAIN IS A RACIST AT HEART. He saw the Confederate flag as symbol of our heritage. Yep. A racist who wants to glorify the hateful parts of our history. The End

ALSO, SIMON OWENS OF http://www.bloggasm.com/ EMAILED ME TONIGHT TO GET US TO USE DEBATE-HUB OVER ON http://www.c-span.org.

    http://debatehub.c-span.org/

If we do it correctly, we should be able to cut & splice the debate as it’s happening. Here’s the instructions that were given to me by Simon:

If you want to post clips and not have to wait until after the debate to do so, you can actually edit and splice together clips while the debate is going on. So let’s say John McCain or Obama says an answer that you find interesting, you can go to the live streaming debate timeline, click on the blue (Obama) or red (McCain) block and that specific answer will pop up in the transcripts and you can embed just that tiny portion of video. Also, if you scroll down to the bottom you’ll see that we’re live streaming twitter posts when users use the hashtags debate08 and #nashdebate, and we’re also constantly monitoring and linking to bloggers who are live blogging the debate.

    take care,
    Simon

I’m going to try it, but will be liveblogging over on FDL (come join us at http://www.firedoglake.com/! Lots of fun! The foul-mouthed fem bloggers will love the extra company), so I’m not sure I’ll be able to do both at the same time. I’m not that coordinated. LOL

Senator Obama came across as intelligent, calm, respectful and in full command of the facts…..and gave good responses to the questions.
John McCain on the other hand was yet again a disrespectful peice of trash….reffering to Sen Obama as “that one”…I find that very very offensive and he needs to get some lessons in manners!!!
I’m afraid the game is over John….we have heard all the same stories over and over….do you have any answers…of course not..because you spend your time talking about Sen Obama.
I am absolutely sick and tired of this man and he needs to go back to Arizona and get another profession…..maybe he could join a charm school…he definately needs some lessons, he is so ignorant.

    CNN Poll:

    54% Obama,

    30% McCain,

    CBS Poll:

    39% Obama,

    27% McCain,

    35% draw,

Which means McCain failed in his mission tonight.

The CNN poll’s internal, showing that Obama is seen as better on Iraq by 51%-47%, McCain has a 51%-46% edge on terrorism — a subject where he’s usually done much better than this — and Obama wins 59%-37% on the economy. On the current financial crisis, Obama wins 57%-36%, Obama is seen as the stronger leader 54%-43%, and is more likable 65%-28%

Stick a fork in the McCain campaign, it’s over.

I wonder NOW if McCain wants MORE town hall meetings after his dismal showing tonight?

His grumpy old man routine don’t play well with Obama on the stage.

Barack and Michelle stayed around to meet the folks in the audience for 15 minutes afterwards, whereas John and Cindy got the hell out of Dodge City as quickly as they could. I didn’t see a handshake between the two afterwards, but maybe missed it. McCain came off a bit angry, like the oft-used David Letterman remark….”Get off my lawn!”

  7. clif said

    Actually Grant,

    McCain came off as saying;

“Get THAT ONE off my lawn!!!!!”

  8. kayinmaine said

Grant, there was a moment when Johnny didn’t want to shake Barack’s hand. Cindy was the one who did it, because Johnny didn’t want to touch ‘that one!’. What a racist asshole.

Send Barack back to the Plantation!

Prairie Home Companion‘s Garrison Keillor laments McCain’s Palin choice:

Some Republicans adore her because they are pranksters at heart and love the consternation of grown-ups. The ne’er-do-well son of the old Republican family as president, the idea that you increase government revenue by cutting taxes, the idea that you cut social services and thereby drive the needy into the middle class, the idea that you overthrow a dictator with a show of force and achieve democracy at no cost to yourself — one stink bomb after another, and now Gov. Palin.
