Meet Gayle Quinnell the woman who called Barack an “Arab” at a recent McCain KKK rally

Posted by kayinmaine on October 11, 2008

As Christopher of From The Left pointed out in his post, Gayle Quinnell will not ‘let facts get in her way when it comes to Obama’! So true. Gayle is a typical wingnut racist in our country who believes anyone who is darker than an Italian in our country is a bomb-wearing Muslim terrorist:

Watching Gayle in this video makes me think she would sit back and wouldn’t intervene if one of her sons started beating the shit out of a black teenager. (Hey, if she can come to conclusions about Barack then she’s opened herself up to the same kinds of generalizations not based in fact!)

This lady is sadly one of the few ignorant bigots out there…probably never left her home state let alone go to another country!!!!
She obviously still thinks anybody other than a white person as being inferior to her and her kind…..but what she does not realize is that SHE IS THE INFERIOR ONE….she is stuck in a time warp of years gone by!!!!
Such ignorance and unwillingness to hear the truth is something unfortunately for her and many more like her that will never change as long as you have nut cases like….HANNITY..LIMBAUGH and FOX that say this is the WRITTEN WORD BY US AND YOU SHOULD BELIEVE!!!!! So because these ignorant souls have no minds of their own and have to be told what to think and say…they continue to carry on this ridiculous nonsense.
All I can say is thank God there are more sensible intelligent people out there than there are ignorant, bigots like this lady and the rest of her kind.

CHANGE THIS COUNTRY AND UNITE IT….NOT DIVIDE IT.

James Brooks writes in the NY Times that Palin is part of the Republican culture war, which has wooed the great unthinking mass of Americans and disparaged the better educated professional class to which Brooks belongs. McCain recently slammed the “Georgetown” elitist Republicans like Brooks, Will, Parker, Noonan, etc. who are not the least happy with his selection of Palin.

Kay, I’ve been working so late the past few nights, I haven’t had a chance to watch the news! Naturally, I came to your blog to get the election low-down and this fucking bitch just shocked the FUCK out of me!

I’m from the good state of MN, and let me tell you, these racist MN supporters at the Lakeville rally were freaking scary. Especially this old ugly bat. I wish legal action would be brought against her for SLANDER and LIBEL. It is a big NO-NO to go through the phone book and send people libel! I hope an FBI agent shows up at her trailer house and scares the shit out of her. I also hope people start calling her up at 3 AM since she was so kind to give her name and phone number!

Doesn’t surprise me at all, the racist old bird is from Shakopee. Nothing but poor white trash there. Burnsville, another place she keeps mentioning, is also nothing but another shithole, so no suprise these folks think they’re “Republican”. Oh, boy. It’s people like this that almost make me hope McCain and Failin’ get in because I want to see the rug yanked out from under this people. I want them to fall on their asses and HARD. It’s making me seriously think about pulling a 180 and voting for McCain because I want people like this to get what’s coming to them!

After sounding like he wants to quell the hateful invective arising from McCain-Palin rallies, it seems that Johnny Boy has flip-flopped since yesterday. Maybe he caught hell from his Rovian handlers for saying a nice thing about Barack, calling him a decent AMERICAN!

Rep. John Lewis calls for McCain-Palin to tone down the hate and the McCain campaign responded with a strongly-worded statement calling Lewis’s remarks “brazen and baseless,” and asks that Obama “personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments.”

“Congressman John Lewis’ comments represent a character attack against Governor Sarah Palin and me that is shocking and beyond the pale. The notion that legitimate criticism of Senator Obama’s record and positions could be compared to Governor George Wallace, his segregationist policies and the violence he provoked is unacceptable and has no place in this campaign. I am saddened that John Lewis, a man I’ve always admired, would make such a brazen and baseless attack on my character and the character of the thousands of hardworking Americans who come to our events to cheer for the kind of reform that will put America on the right track.

“I call on Senator Obama to immediately and personally repudiate these outrageous and divisive comments that are so clearly designed to shut down debate 24 days before the election. Our country must return to the important debate about the path forward for America.”

First off, I need to apologize to Grant for having so many comments in the spam catcher over night! Yikes. Sorry about that, Grant.😉 I went out with my friend Jan last night to do some dancing and that’s why I wasn’t around to fish them out!

Can you believe the yahoo in this video? She represents The Base of the republic Party. Number than a pounded thumb, hateful as a wasp, and is the type of person who finds joy in the suffering or death of others, but if a STEM CELL IS HURT, this woman would freak out! Pathetic assholes they all are. Hypocrites too.

  11. clif said

Kay she represents the volkstrum of our society,

you know those who want to blame the angry black man, the illegal immigrant, or elite liberals or anybody BUT themselves for what has happened to our country but bozos like her are exactly what is wrong because they are easily fooled by the likes of Reagan and Bush so think they are the answer NOT the problem.

They refuse to admit the way the republicans have destroyed this country are coming home to roost and it is partly their own fault for backing people who were selling snake oil and hate, because they don’t want to admit they bought the snake oil because they have so much hate inside themselves.

They even want to blame the democratic party for the racism in this election even though they have used the vaulted southern strategy for FOUR FUCKING DECADES to try to win the White House.

This woman’s statements are the end result of four decades of republican sponsored hate speech.

  12. carol said

It shows the ignorance of this woman and people like her….just sad that in this day and age this kind of “hate” is still out there.
America does NOT belong to any one race or religion and as much as they may want it that way it will never be.
I guess these folks claim to be Christian’s no doubt…do they really beleive that God has ordained the WHITE race to rule America and all other races and religions are inferior….of course not!!!!
I suppose though when you are small minded and have parents that have taught you the same thing their parents taught them, you understand their mindset.
If only they could come out of the abyss they have fallen into and interact with other races and religions and get to know people before judging them and listen to other news and radio stations other than FOX…HANNITY AND LIMBAUGH.
I know I am expecting too much here I know….but we can but hope one day and I feel the younger ones coming up will be the saving grace of our country.

You know who this bigot, Gayle, reminds me of? The bigots that believe that members of the opposite party are pure liars that would fake a pregnancy. The bigots that believe the many members of the other party is so inherently evil that they would fake a terrorist attack to accumulate power (which is rather strange as these same people will have no power in either a Obama or McCain administration)

  14. Palin is a Whore said

JFH, you know who YOU remind me of? Some welfare person who has nothing better to do with his/her time than to troll blogs and leave rude comments (and I know how you staunch Repubs love them because I used to be one of you before I got my head out of my ass!)

If you love McCain and Palin so much, why do you keep coming here except in hopes of stirring up trouble? Why can’t you “new” Republicans disagree with the Democrats but in a respectful fashion? Why do you always have to be so hateful and despicable? And please get your terms correct. This Gayle woman was no BIGOT, she was a RACIST, pure and simple. I wish you right-wingers would at least have the balls to say you don’t like Obama because he’s black instead of saying “Oh, it’s cuz he’s inexperienced, a Muslim, an Arab, a terrorist, a socialist, blah, blah, blah.” If you did, I would have a lot more respect for all of you. But no, you all thump your bible and proclaim to be holier than everyone else when you people are nothing but hate-mongers.

Just admit it: You all loathe Obama because he’s a smart black CHRISTIAN man, and people like him. You all cannot stand the fact that white people actually like “THAT” black man. If this were just about a difference in the issues, you all would be talking about the issues instead of asking “Who is Barack Obama?” and trying to make something out of his association with Ayers by insinuating that he “pals” around with “terrorists”. They were acquaintances. End of story.

I don’t know your financial situation JFH, but if you don’t make $250,000 + a year, I sort of hope your beloved McCain and Palin get in, because I can’t wait to see you brought down to your knees like the rest of us. These last 8 years have ruined me financially, and even though I will suffer greatly if McCain and his whore get in, it will give me great joy to know that the working poor and middle-class who voted Republican because of abortion and gay marriage are going to get what’s coming to them. If/when that happens, I am going to party like it’s 1999, the year I wish I could go back to because it’s after Bush stole the election from Gore that things started going all wrong in my life and the lives of many others!

So you see, I’m going to be happy either way on election day. If Obama wins, great, we all prosper — rich, poor, middle-class, black, white, etc. If McCain wins, I am going to suffer greatly, but I will be comforted to know that the working poor and middle-class fools who voted for him are going to suffer, too. Maybe even more than me as I have been preparing myself for a McCain/Palin win. You all are going to be blind-sided and then you’ll be whining, “But I can’t afford my health insurance, wah, wah, wah, but I can’t afford to buy food, wah, wah, wah, but I’m losing my house and nobody cares, wah, wah, wah.” But look on the bright side, JFH: At least all those unborn babies will be saved!

  15. Hey Kay, you’re on my blogroll.

Rude?! Nah, snarky and weakly ironic, sure.

Why can’t you “new” Republicans disagree with the Democrats but in a respectful fashion? Why do you always have to be so hateful and despicable?

How was anything in my statement hateful and despicable. If the shoe doesn’t fit, the comment isn’t even applicable, let alone hateful. And why do you think I’m a “new” Republican. I’m the son of a military officer. I’m an Annapolis grad. I’m no more a “new” Republican than McCain is.

And please get your terms correct. This Gayle woman was no BIGOT, she was a RACIST,

Umm, a racist is merely a specific type of a bigot.

,i>McCain wins, I am going to suffer greatly, but I will be comforted to know that the working poor and middle-class fools who voted for him are going to suffer, too.

Hmmm, remind me again who is the hateful person again??

John McCain and Sarah Palin are targeting the “working poor” and exploiting residual racism and xenophobia in our less educated. That is why many educated and thinking Republicans are moving over to support Sen. Barack Obama. David Brooks just wrote about the “class warfare” being drummed up in the McPalin campaign. Even Christopher Buckley, son of William F….the “godfather” of the modern conservative movement” (I belonged to his YAF in college), is endorsing Sen. Barack Obama now.

Well since your very presence here has always been based on being hateful and despicable, that would include the statements you crap outa your ass all the time son.

Umm, a racist is merely a specific type of a bigot.

    As both, you should know.

Hmmm, remind me again who is the hateful person again??

    Look in the mirror skippy, that should help ya on this easy one, but as a republican since we all know your mentally challanged and reichwing kool-aid drunk all the time, I’ll help ya boy;

    It’s YOU.

Kay, growing up in Mississippi and living in the South all my life, I’ve plenty of experience with people like Quinnel. The key to understanding them is simple: Where a black man running for office is concerned, they may say “liberal”, they may say “socialist”, “communist”, or in this case, “Arab”, “Muslim”, or “terrorist”. No matter what they say, what they really mean is “uppity nigger”. It’s a hangover from a 19th century-style system of socialization not unlike Medieval feudalism, where a handful of white people were the landowners, ( the lords), and the majority of whites were dirt scratchers living right at the poverty level, (the serfs). The only real difference between the dirt scratchers and black folk was the color of their skin, but it made them feel better to create a social strata beneath them. In fact, the only way the white serfs could go lower on the totem pole would be to mince with black folk. I used to think this was just a Southern phenomenon, but have hence learned that it exists in one form or another in a lot of places. If only the serfs could actually begin to believe what they preach in their churches, they might see that in God’s eyes there is no social strata, and then they might not need someone to kick around to feel better about themselves.

Where Gayle Quinnell got her information…..

Fox News’ Sean Hannity gave the certifiably unhinged (IOW a nutjob) Andy Martin a FULL HOUR to air the most blatant of Obama LIES out there. It seems that Martin has been responsible for starting so many of the falsehoods circulating on the internet and talk-radio about Sen. Obama beginning several years ago.

“When questions were raised last week about Mr. Martin’s appearance and claims on ‘Hannity’s America’ on Fox News, the program’s producer said Mr. Martin was clearly expressing his opinion and not necessarily fact.” Of course no such DISCLAIMER was aired after the broadcast. Thank you Fox for helping to spread the slime!!! Reich-winger Elisabeth Hasselbeck defended Hannity on “The View” this morning saying he has all kinds of “diverse” guests and opinions….(and the ones he doesn’t like he talks and shouts over!).

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/13/us/politics/13martin.html?_r=1

Andy Martin has “a history of scintillating if not always factual
claims. He has left a trail of animosity — some of it provoked by anti-Jewish comments — among political leaders, lawyers and judges in three states over more than 30 years.”
