Sarah Palin is proud to be a redneck

Posted by kayinmaine on October 23, 2008

At a rally recently, Sarah Palin was talking to the crowd and said she was proud to be a redneck. Does Sarah even know what a redneck is? Does wearing a $150,000 wardrobe mean one is a redneck? And how about all the real estate holdings Sarah & Todd Palin have, plus their airplane, and the stays at the Ritz Carleton? Huh? Is this being a redneck?

If Sarah can’t find the misspellings in the above signs, well, she could very well be a redneck. You decide, though, the following picture of Sarah Palin in a grocery store wearing the following outfit does put her near the redneck level…

See? Very redneckishy.

    Sarah Palin the redneck, the folksie governor is all part of the packaging from the party that gave us W the fake cowboy. She is a big time politician from sparsely populated State.

    McCain likes to call her a reformer, but she is really a socialist for giving away oil money to her citizens. She abused her power as governor to gain perks for her and her family. To say that she is a reformer is a joke. She is know different then most politicians. As for donating her clothes to charity once her and McCain get their asses handed to them…sure she will, what a f**king joke!

    A Republican strategist on MSNBC is saying POOR Sarah is from a POOR family (net worth over ONE MILLION, about the same as Joe Biden) WITH FIVE KIDS who needed a wardrobe! Sarah Palin may soon wish she had never been tapped by McCain as this choice has brought VETTING from the “lower 48” which may show how much she has scammed from the Alaskan taxpayers. She could end up not being re-elected as a result.

    too many Palin scandals to keep track of anymore;

    –Palin has reportedly billed the state of Alaska for $20,000+ in
    dubious travel expenses for her family, including staying with her daughters for five days at the posh Essex House Hotel in NYC (at $700+ a night) so she could attend a governor’s conference that lasted all of five hours. She has also altered (“amended” in her words) state records after-the-fact for cover.

    –the investigative body looking into ‘trooper-gate’ determined that she did unlawfully violate ethics rules by firing the guy who refused to fire her ex-brother-in-law.

    –she dishonestly had her campaign announce the findings of their own fake ‘investigation’ into “trooper-gate” and claimed that she was exonerated of any wrongdoing. Sarah, when asked about the investigation, claimed she was happy to have been found innocent of any wrongdoing.

    –now we hear about the RNC spending $150K on clothes at upscale fancy stores like Neiman-Marcus and Saks. The “hockey MOM” who has claimed to shop at Wal-Mart is getting tons of horrible press around that.

    –also recently Palin has displayed in multiple quotes that she does not have a basic understanding of what the VP’s CONSTITUTIONAL role in government is supposed to be. Something she should have learned in her high school civics classes.

    Sarah Palin has been used by John McCain it’s that simple..you can tell by their body language in that Brian Williams interview that they are not comfortable together.
    He will have someone to blame when he loses in Nov….they are not a good team and neither of them care about the real issues..it’s just a case of win..win..win.. at all costs.
    It doesn’t matter how many states Sarah runs around now and tagging along all manner of folks with her…the American people have seen and heard enough!!!!
    We have our answer already for President and that is Sen Obama…we need him to get this country back on track and heal this nation…so badly affected by McCain’s vile campaign.
    Mr Honorable McCain no more I feel.

    Several of the late Sen. Barry Goldwater’s grandchildren are endorsing Sen. Barack Obama:

    “Nothing about the Republican ticket offers the hope America needs to regain it’s standing in the world, that’s why we’re going to support Barack Obama. I think that Obama has shown his ability and integrity.”

    Gov. Palin looks like a Pentecostal Holiness woman. They believe that men are the head of the house and must be obeyed. Women are there to serve. When I lived in the Appalachian mountains of NC, my next door neighbor called them country gold…”Can’t hardly get ’em anymore.” Lots of the men would have half an acre of tobacco and call themselves farmers. Hire Mexicans to do what little actual work there was to do. Hang out during the day and get on their tractors when the wives would come home from work. The little woman would fix supper and spend her summer vacation in the tobacco fields.I was one too.

    Grant I think she really finishes the two frauds off with this passage;

    …the Republican brand has been tarnished in a shameless effort to gain votes and appeal to the lowest emotion, fear. Nothing about McCain, except for maybe a uniform, compares to the same ideology of what Goldwater stood for as a politician. The McCain/Palin plan is to appear diverse and inclusive, using women and minorities to push an agenda that makes us all financially vulnerable, fearful, and less safe.

    Just about sums up their losing campaign perfectly.

    Carol, speaking of the body language between McCain & Palin the other night…

    It was mentioned on FDL this morning that McCain seemed agitated with the sound of her bracelets clanging together. Maybe he wasn’t agitated but was actually having a flashback to his time as a POW where the clanging sound was the same sound as keys clanging together? Could be. I thought I had read somewhere that McCain did have flashbacks of this kind. Kind of scary to think of him as president who is STILL having flashbacks! I mean really, he might lunge and kill someone on national tv or start a war….just because his mind is telling him to! Scary, scary, scary!

    Those suffering from PTSD (which Cindy says John DOES NOT HAVE because he is too tough!) do suffer the rest of their lives. My uncle, whose Army Corps of Engineers unit built airstrips all over the South Pacific, was shot at while driving a bulldozer by Japanese snipers who would not surrender. He also would “ride shotgun” and he knew he shot and killed a few Japanese.

    For the rest of his life, he had recurring nightmares that the widows and children of the Japanese soldiers he killed were chasing him with drawn knives. My aunt would have to awaken him and talk him back to reality. After no longer recognizing my aunt at the VA hospital where he died from Alzheimer’s, my aunt once said she hoped he no longer had those bad memories from the war and would die in peace.

    She’s nothing but redneck trailer trash. And you know they never planned to donate the clothes to charity after the election was over until after they were called out on their extravagant spending. It’s sort of like how Bristol and Levi “always” planned to get married, so getting pregnant was just a “bonus”. Yeah, right. Fucking assholes.

  12. clif said

    If they don’t donate the clothes, their tax bills will be a tad higher next year.

    You have to report high dollar gifts, and if she keeps them after the campaign she can’t claim they were just for it.

    Actually, all this coverage is showing how much of a pompous ass she really is and a liar. We love it! Thanks media! Of course, all those McCain/Palin supporters who are making $18,000/year still scream in delight when Johnny says, “It’s not fair that the wealthy have to pay their taxes! No spreading of the wealth around!!!! It’s shameful!!!”. Yep, those making $18,000/year could use some extra money, but Johnny doesn’t want to help. Nope. He just wants to help himself and the crowd goes crazy for him.

    Stupid.

    Right wingers are very, very, very stupid.

    Some Republicans wanting to dump the increasingly embarrassing Palin at the last moment might want to form a McCain/Joe-the-Plumber ticket. Bumper stickers might read:

    McCain/Plumber: “Sarah don’t know shit, but Joe does!”

    McCain/Plumber: “We’ll get Dem turds, one flush at a time.”
